free portraits — I need practice and you need a photo that isn't from a bathroom mirror

Offer, open to anyone who reads this: I will take your picture for free. Film, black and white, one roll, you get prints. The catch: I'm working on portraits where the person ISN'T posing, which means I'm going to make you do something boring — sit, wait, talk about something you actually care about — and shoot while you're not paying attention. If you want a photo where you look at the camera and smile, I'll take that too, at the end, as payment for putting up with me. Where: the diner on 4th at 10pm, the parking garage downtown, my back porch. Anywhere with light I like. Why: because everyone's default picture on this website is taken at arm's length in a bathroom and I think in fifteen years we're all going to want ONE photo of ourselves from this year that looks like a person instead of an angle.
