the site was down for 40 minutes last night and i want to explain why

hey everyone, So last night between about 11:20 and midnight the site was down. Here's what happened, because I think you deserve to know, and also because eleven of you emailed me and one of you emailed me four times. A server got too warm. That's it. That's the entire story. I drove back in and pointed a box fan at it and it came back up. The fan is still there. The fan may be permanent. I have named the fan. Three small things while I have you: 1. If your page suddenly looks like a ransom note, you left off a closing tag. Take out the last thing you added. It is always the last thing you added. 2. Somebody crossed four thousand friends this week. I'm not going to say who. I just want everybody to know that the number goes that high and nothing bad happens. 3. Please stop putting your away message in your headline and then going away. I keep clicking on your page to see if you're okay. be nice to each other, - marv :)
